Mission Statement: A fun and easy way to learn Chinese!  Our fun and colorful books include CDs and offer children an entertaining and simple way to learn a new and popular language. We believe that if American children learn about the Chinese culture and language from a young age, and Chinese children do the same, they will be able to understand each other and realize that we share many similarities.  This will build a future of cooperation and trust one child at a time.

Company Snapshot: After noticing a lack of suitable educational tools to teach Chinese to children, founder and author Chris Lin set out to provide all children with a fun and easy way to learn Chinese.  The company has since created a colorful series spanning 6 books with 18 more to come.  The first book in the series, Mandy and Pandy say, “Ni Hao Ma.” won the iParenting Media award for Most Outstanding Book in 2007.  The first four books of the series teach children general phrases, numbers, and sports vocabulary.  Our two newest books in the series teach children colors and zoo animals in Chinese.  The books cost $12.95 each and include an audio CD.

Background:  Mandy and Pandy Co. was established in 2006 by Chris Lin, through the inspiration of his recently adopted Chinese daughter, Mandy. The company publishes books which introduce preschoolers and elementary school children to the basics of the Chinese language. In addition to an audio CD that reads the stories in both English and Chinese, each book is printed with English, phonetic pronunciation and actual Chinese writing to aid in character recognition.
